Mets rookie dominates in return to bullpen

The Mets have a decent rotation in their bullpen.

Robert Gsellman, Seth Lugo — two guys who saved the rotation in past seasons — and now Corey Oswalt are combining to give the Mets a varied and versatile relief corps.

Oswalt on Tuesday made his first relief appearance since his Major League debut April 25 — that was followed by eighth starts. He worked three shutout innings allowing one hit and picked up the win in the Mets’ 6-3 Citi Field victory.

“It’s nice to know that we have guys like he and Lugo that can step into the rotation, step in the bullpen and Gsellman even,” manager Mickey Callaway said.
