Mets reportedly avoid arbitration with trio

The Mets have avoided arbitration with Matt Harvey, Wilmer Flores and Travis d'Arnaud, agreeing to deals for the 2018 season, according to reports Friday. Harvey will reportedly get a $5.625 million contract, Flores will get $3.4 million and d'Arnaud will get $3.475 million.

The club has not confirmed the reports.

Entering his final season before free agency, Harvey gets a $500,000 bump in salary from 2017, when he made $5.125 million. The 28-year-old right-hander has struggled and dealt with significant injuries in each of the past two seasons after leading a dominant Mets rotation to a World Series appearance in 2015.
