The Mets have reinstated right-handed pitcher Max Kranick from the injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Syracuse. Back in late February, Kranick suffered a hamstring injury that cost him the shot at making the Mets’ Opening Day roster.
Not too long after Opening Day, however, Kranick started his rehab assignment with the Single-A St. Lucie Mets. After he made two appearances at that level, the Mets bumped him up to Double-A Binghamton for another pair of appearances, the first of which was excellent. In total, he threw 6.0 innings in Binghamton, struck out eight, walked two, and gave up two runs, one of which was unearned.
