The New York Mets announced a slew of moves on Friday before the team began their three-game series in San Diego. The Mets recalled reliever Jacob Rhame from the minors and optioned reliever Corey Oswalt to Triple-A Las Vegas.
The Mets also claimed left-handed relief pitcher Buddy Baumann off waivers from the San Diego Padres. To make room for Baumann on the 40-man roster, the Mets moved captain David Wright to the 60-day disabled list.
This is Rhame’s second stint with the major league club after making the Opening Day roster.
