Syndergaard threw behind Chase Utley, and the punishment did not fit the action. He didn’t hit him, and didn’t aim it towards his head, ribs, or any other “danger area”. The ball was thrown behind Utley; if he had actually wanted to hit him, I believe that he would’ve just gone for it.
