Mets re-sign LH reliever Jerry Blevins

The Mets and free-agent LH reliever Jerry Blevins have agreed to a one-year, $4 million deal with incentives, according to MLB Network's Matt Yallof (Dec. 15, 3:00 pm).

The NY Post's Mike Puma had reported on Dec. 14 that both sides had mutual interest in working out a new contract.

The Mets acquired Blevins in March from the Nationals for OF Matt den Dekker. He held left-handed batters hitless in 14 at-bats before breaking his arm in April.

He slipped off a curb in July, while rehabbing, which broke his arm for a second time.
