NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The Mets have re-signed left-handed relief pitcher Jerry Blevins.
Matt Yallof of the MLB Network reports that it’s a one-year, $4 million deal.
The 32-year-old was traded from the Nationals to the Mets on March 30 for outfielder Matt den Dekker.
He started the season off brilliantly, tossing five scoreless innings in seven appearances. He didn’t allow a walk or a hit.
Dear @Santa, Thanks for the early Christmas present! I couldn't be happier to return to the @Mets.
