For after Terry Collins observed that Monday’s 4-2 Mets’ victory over the Rockies — in which the home team rallied with three runs in the seventh — was a game the team would not have won last year, the Mets manager was asked whether this was a game his team would have won two weeks ago.
After a moment or two of silence, Collins took his version of the Fifth.
“I don’t know if I have a great answer for you,” he said. “I don’t know if I have any answer.
