Following Game 1, you could forgive Mets fans for feeling a bit pessimistic. The Mets suffered a 9-0 to the Dodgers, which represents the most lopsided postseason loss in franchise history. Worse yet, nothing went right: Kodai Senga couldn’t find the plate, Mets’ bats couldn’t find the ball, and the game was over basically by the end of the first inning. Despite that, Brian Salvatore reminded us that hope was not lost following a rough opening outing, even if the loss made it seem like the Mets might be over-matched against baseball’s best team.
