The Mets will promote Triple-A reliever Paul Sewald to their big-league roster, while designated Ty Kelly for assignment, the team announced late Friday.
Sewald is expected to be available Saturday when the Mets play the Marlins in the second game of their three-game series in New York.
In 11 appearances this past spring training, Sewald allowed four runs and seven hits, while striking out 12 batters in 14 1/3 innings.

In mid-March, Terry Collins listed Sewald among 8-10 pitchers that had quietly emerged in camp as possible candidates to make his Opening Day roster.
