The New York Mets have promoted minor league outfielder Brandon Nimmo to Triple-A Las Vegas, the club announced on Tuesday.
Nimmo, 22, hit .279/.354/.368 with two home runs and 16 RBI in 68 games spanning 302 at-bats for Double-A Binghamon before the promotion.
Prior to the season, Nimmo was ranked as a Top 100 prospect by nearly every publication.
Drafted out of high school in Wyoming with the 13th overall pick in the 2011 draft, Nimmo will be Rule 5 eligible after the season, meaning the Mets will have to add him to the 40-man roster by December.
