When the Mets’ winning streak ended, it was because the bats went cold and that manifested itself for most of the Blue Jays series right up until the ninth inning of Wednesday’s game, when Francisco Lindor’s home run turned things around, culminating in a six-run inning for the Mets. The bats kept rolling after the off day into Friday when they put a drubbing on Aaron Nola and the Phillies and they got out to an early 4-0 lead on Saturday, but things went south after that as they were shut down again in the late innings on Saturday and all of yesterday.
