Early in the week during the Marlins series, the offense once again struggled to score enough runs, as they dropped two out of three to the team sitting in the basement in the NL East. The bats woke up against the Brewers, but unfortunately the pitching couldn’t get the job done, and the Mets finished up a rough week in which they went 2-5.

The hottest Met this week is also the newest Met: Jose Bautista. He’s been a tough out since joining the Mets and owns a 214 wRC+ in his first eleven plate appearances.
