Despite Mother Nature doing her best to continue to wreak havoc on the Mets’ schedule, the Mets did manage to play six of their seven scheduled games last week. However, four of them came in the form of doubleheaders. The Mets went 5-1 this week, sweeping the Phillies and then taking two out of three from the Rockies, which puts them atop the NL East standings at 7-4 overall. The offense posted a decidedly average 102 wRC+ as a team over the past week, which just cracks the top ten baseball for the week. While this is a marked improvement over last week, the offense is still not firing on all cylinders, which means most of the Mets’ games have been close and low-scoring.
