The Mets’ pitching staff had a less exiting week than you’d expect for a team that won four of its five games. In only one of the games did they give up less than three runs, and even in victory, they gave up 16 runs to their opponents over four games. However, there were a few standout performances, especially in the three-game sweep of the Nationals.
Let’s start with the bad: Adam Ottavino appeared in two games this week, but in the one where the game was on the line, he almost gave it up.
