Mets Player Performance Meter: Pitchers, August 19-25

The Mets had a poorly timed bullpen implosion on Sunday (that one could argue was as much the fault of poor managing as it was on the players for poor execution) that sullied a mostly pretty good pitching meter otherwise. The worst starting pitching performance of the week was from Paul Blackburn who is now hurt, so is “saved” from the poop emoji by the dreaded red cross. José Quintana had a stinker this week as well, but that was balanced out by Sunday’s positive performance to redeem his grade this week.

At first I gave David Peterson the regular old green arrow because it’s not like he threw a complete game shutout a la Luis Severino last week or anything like that.
