The New York Mets have made a slew of roster moves ahead of today’s single-admission doubleheader. The team has named Jacob Rhame as the 26th man for the two games and have recalled P.J. Conlon and Ty Kelly from Triple-A. To make room on the roster, the Mets have placed third baseman Todd Frazier on the 10-day disabled list with a left rib cage strain and optioned Chris Flexen back to Las Vegas.
The Frazier news comes as a bit of a surprise, but Mickey Callaway noted that he sustained the injury in his at-bats during yesterday’s loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
