One day after tossing one-and-a-third scoreless innings in relief, the New York Mets placed Jacob Rhame on the injured list with right elbow discomfort. To take his place on the roster, the club recalled left-hander Donnie Hart, who they claimed off waivers from the Milwaukee Brewers.
Rhame entered yesterday’s contest in the fifth inning with the bases loaded and the team trailing by two runs after Luis Avilan forced in a run by hitting Kevin Newman. Rhame was able to escape the jam by getting Jacob Stallings to ground out to short.
