Last season Cody Bellinger was playing some destructive baseball over the course of 18 games in Oklahoma City. This season the New York Mets have a similar player in Peter Alonso.
Before being called up, Bellinger hit five home runs over 67 at-bats. During that time, he was hitting .343 and his OPS was 1.055. That was a perfect combination leading to an early season call up and his power continued after he made it to Los Angeles.
To go along with his five home runs and 15 RBI’s, Bellinger had four doubles and scored 15 times.
