Mets outright Danny Muno to Vegas, open 40-man roster spot for Eric Young Jr.

The utility infielder loses his roster spot to the speedster.

The Mets have outrighted infielder Danny Muno to Triple-A Las Vegas to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Eric Young Jr. The 26-year-old Muno played in 17 games with the Mets earlier this season and hit just .148/.258/.185 in 32 plate appearances with the team. He had been playing in Las Vegas before he was outrighted.

Eric Young Jr., who the Mets acquired from the Atlanta Braves on August 22 for cash considerations, is set to be added to the 40-man roster and promoted to the big leagues.
