The New York Mets optioned P.J. Conlon back to Triple-A Las Vegas to bring their roster back to the standard 25 players following yesterday’s doubleheader. Gerson Bautista, who was called up as the 26th man yesterday, will remain with the team.
Conlon started the second game of the doubleheader, and he gave up four runs over two innings. He allowed eight hits and recorded one strikeout in the second start of his career. He was replaced by Hansel Robles in the third inning with runners on the corners and having already surrendered three runs.
