Mets: Only 9 of 24 ESPN experts pick Mets in World Series

There aren’t too many analysts over at ESPN who like the Mets’ chances in the World Series.

Just nine of the 24 experts asked chose the Mets to win the Fall Classic against the Royals starting on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Jonah Keri, Andrew Marchand, Wallace Matthews, Karl Ravech, Adam Rubin, Mark Saxon, David Schoenfield, Jon Sciambi and Adnan Virk make up the nine.

Most of those who chose the Royals cited their bullpen depth and defense as the reason why they win.

“Redemption” was also a term floated around by a few, but that is a terrible reason to explain why the Royals will win.
