Mets offense enjoys a second night of fun at Coors Field

DENVER — Just call them the Mile High club.

Whether it’s the altitude, the Rockies’ awful pitching or a combination of both, the Mets are loving Coors Field this weekend and might want to stay a while.

On Saturday, they put an early hurting on Rockies pitcher Chris Rusin and rolled to their second straight 14-9 victory, this one in front of 46,170 — many of whom wore Mets colors.

For all of the concern about Matt Harvey skipping a turn Sunday, maybe it doesn’t really matter who the Mets send to the mound.

Not only have the Mets (66-56) won all six meetings with the Rockies this season, but Colorado starter David Hale has struggled, making him an even matchup at best against Logan Verrett.
