Mets offense backs Lugo in series win over Cards, presented by W.B. Mason

Seth Lugo earned his first Major League win and the Mets' won for the fourth time in five games with a 10-6 victory over the Cardinals on Thursday night at Busch Stadium.

In case you missed it…

  • Lugo (1-2) pitched five scoreless innings before he was removed while warming up in the sixth due to cramping in his right calf. In his second Major League start, the 26-year-old allowed two hits and three walks while striking out five. He also singled in the fourth for his first career hit.
  • Alejandro De Aza went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and a career-high five RBIs.
