Mets outfield prospect Champ Stuart is playing extremely well during the Arizona Fall League. In 32 at-bats in nine games, Stuart is hitting .375/.412/.531 with two doubles, one HR, and five steals.
Although it’s a small sample size, Stuart is facing some of the best pitching prospects in baseball. So these results are encouraging.
Stuart has 80 speed on the 20-to-80 scouting scale, so he’d immediately be the fastest runner on the Mets and one of the fastest in baseball if he winds up in the big club.
And he’s also an above average fielder with a solid arm.
