Former Mets catcher Anthony Recker has signed a minor league deal with the Indians, it was announced on Friday.
The deal includes an invite to Major League Spring Training.
Recker, 32, was removed from the Mets’ 40-man roster earlier this month.
In 32 games (92 plate appearances) with the Mets in 2015, Recker hit .125/.239/.213 with two home runs. He also played for Triple-A Las Vegas in 2015, where he hit .245/.343/.553 with eight home runs.
Recker had been with the Mets since 2013, having spent time with the Cubs and Athletics organizations before that.
