New York Mets second baseman Neil Walker has settled on a $10.55 million salary for 2016 to avoid arbitration.
Walker originally had requested $11.8 million, with the Mets countering at $9.4 million.
The lone remaining arbitration-eligible Mets player is closer Jeurys Familia. Familia requested $4.8 million, with the Mets countering at $3.3 million. The sides will have a hearing next month if they don't meet in the middle beforehand.
