Here is what we learned from Tuesday's Mets game:
1. Terry Collins is either crazy, clueless or a pure genius. With everyone in the world (including Howie Rose and Josh Lewin) first-guessing his decision to lift Jacob deGrom (a .200 hitter) for Eric Campbell (a .175 hitter) in the seventh inning with the game on the line, Campbell delivers a two-run single that sparks the Mets to a 7-2 win. If Campbell fails in that spot, or the bullpen fails to hold the lead (deGrom had only thrown 82 pitches) Collins would be getting ripped to high heaven today, but he went for it and it worked out.
