Thanksgiving is a day when we’re meant to reflect on the things in life we should be thankful for. In addition to this fine tradition, it’s a day to fill our stomachs to full capacity. Rather than look at the aspects of the New York Mets we should be thankful for, I want to focus on the other part of the holiday and talk about fattening up.
The Mets are way too skinny in the payroll department. For a New York City sports team, they have no excuse not to fatten up this offseason.
After finishing with the best record in the National League among those who didn’t make the playoffs, it’s time the Mets do the obvious and spend more.
