Mets must cut roster down to 25 players

The Mets need to cut down to 25 players and set a Wild Card roster by Wednesday's night's Wild Card game against the Giants at Citi Field.

The buzz from Citi Field is that they'll probably end up starting left-handed hitting 1B Lucas Duda against Giants LHP Madison Bumgarner, as opposed to James Loney. In that case, it's possible Loney is left off the roster entirely, because they'll need Eric Campbell to be a right-handed bat off the bench. Also, Terry Collins said Sunday that Seth Lugo or Robert Gsellman will be left behind, since one of the two of them will be needed to start Game 2 of the NLDS, in the event the Mets win Wednesday.
