The Mets are about to shake it up in the infield.
With David Wright expected to remain sidelined with a strained right hamstring for at least another week, the Mets summoned Dilson Herrera from Triple-A Las Vegas late Thursday night and intend to move Daniel Murphy to third base, according to a club source.
Herrera was hitting .370 (30-for-81) at Las Vegas with a homer and 11 RBIs in 20 games. The Mets made the move following their third straight loss and fourth in five games, 8-2 to the Nationals at Citi Field. A corresponding roster move will be made Friday.
