In what could’ve been his last start in a Mets uniform, Zack Wheeler looked dominant against the Marlins. The game remained scoreless until the pitcher himself broke the stalemate in the seventh. Unfortunately a blown strike three call led to two home runs the following inning, and Wheeler’s night only ended in frustration and not a glorious ride into the sunset. The Mets couldn’t recover and another home run given up by Edwin Diaz sealed their fate against the Fish.
