The Mets are starting to round out the staff that will be surrounding manager Mickey Callaway. Kevin Long will not be returning as hitting coach and Pat Roessler will receive a promotion to take his place. Another crucial vacancy has been filled, as Dave Eiland will be the team’s pitching coach serving under Callaway.
Rickey Bones will return as the the bullpen coach, but Tom Goodwin will be moving on from being the team’s first base coach.
