Mets Morning News: The cavalry is coming

The Mets routed the Braves 13-2 in their most decisive win of the 2021 season thus far. Taijuan Walker was excellent in his return from the injured list, tossing five scoreless innings and striking out eight batters on 80 pitches. James McCann had a four-hit game, including a home run that put the Mets on the board. The Mets hit five home runs in all; Jonathan Villar, Brandon Drury, Billy McKinney, and Francisco Lindor all also contributed long balls in the victory. Cameron Maybin also finally ended his draught with his first base hit as a Met.
