The Mets opened their final homestand before the All-Star break with a 7-5 victory over the Nationals on Tuesday night. Jose Quintana pitched 7 shutout innings, while Brandon Nimmo and Francisco Lindor both hit home runs to power the Mets’ offense. Though the bullpen faltered in the final two innings, they were able to hold on to secure a Mets win.
