The Mets and Taijuan Walker’s recent tailspin continued on Tuesday night as they fell to the Marlins 5-4. The Marlins got to Walker early, plating four runs off of Walker in the first three innings, before he settled in, pitching into the sixth inning. The first two Mets runs were scored via sacrifice fly, before J.D. Davis hit a long RBI double to cut the Marlins lead to 1. However, the Marlins scored an insurance run in the 8th inning to make it 5-3, and the Mets rally in the ninth came up just short as they were only able to score one additional run.
