The Mets bounced back from a bad loss to the Athletics with an impressive win against Oakland. Pete Alonso led the way with a 4-for-4 day at the plate including a home run. Lindor also blasted a home run which was his 100th in a Mets uniform. As for the pitching David Peterson got the start and was good again. He allowed just one unearned run in 6.1 innings. The Mets will now look to take the series with José Quintana on the mound.
