The Mets obliterated the Twins 15-2 in the first game of their three-game set. If you can believe it, the Mets trailed 1-0 after two batters. The Mets scored six in the fourth, five in the sixth, and four more in the seventh to cruise to victory. Every starter picked up a hit, and the team batted around twice. José Quintana was stellar over six after that first inning hiccup, and José Butto pitched the final thee frames to pick up the odd save.
