Mets Morning News: Mets trounce Nationals, continue Wild Card push

The Mets’ offense came alive on Tuesday night against the Nationals, as they won 10-1. Tylor Megill continued to pitch well, tossing six innings of one run ball, before handing it off to the bullpen who pitched 3 scoreless innings. At the plate, Pete Alonso drove in 5 runs, including a three-run homer, while Luisangel Acuña had a three hit night and slugged his first big league homer. The Mets will play their final game of the year against the Nationals tonight, as they look to sweep Washington before their all important final 10 games.
