The Mets looked like they were headed for yet another frustrating loss, despite the best efforts of Tylor Megill and the bullpen. It took until the ninth inning when they finally managed to tie the game. Even though they scored in the eleventh, it was the twelfth inning when they went ahead for good on the strength of a Kevin Pillar three-run home run. The team finally stopped the bleeding but it doesn’t get any easier as they face the Dodgers once again.
With James McCann suffering from back spasms, the team called up catcher Chance Sisco and optioned Yennsy Díaz to Triple-A.
