Mets Morning News: Mets split spring training games; Rosario’s hand is okay

The Mets defeated the Astros but fell to the Red Sox in Monday’s spring training slate.

After a scary moment on the field, X-rays on Amed Rosario’s hand have come back negative, and he says he’s not in much pain.

The Mets couldn’t reach a deal with Edwin Diaz and renewed his contract at $607,425.

John Franco and Al Leiter are joining the Mets’ front office as special advisers. Joel Sherman says that their reintegration back into the fold further shows the need to lock up Jacob deGrom long term.
