Mets Morning News: Mets next two games are postponed following positive COVID tests

Two members of the Mets organization tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. Last night’s game against the Marlins and Friday evening’s game against the Yankees have been postponed as a result of the positive tests.

While the identities of the members of the organization who tested positive remain unknown, they reportedly came from one position player and one coach. We here at Amazin Avenue wish whoever they are a speedy recovery.

The team announced in a statement that they would be flying back home to New York last night despite the positive tests, with additional recommended safety precautions.
