Mets Morning News: Mets beat Yankees as Familia awaits imminent departure

It was a busy Friday in Metsville as the Amazins took on the Yankees in the Subway Series. Cespedes was back from the DL (and also sort of not), Jeurys Familia was withheld due to an imminent trade, Syndergaard notched his 500th strikeout, and the Mets came away with a win. More worrying was the fact that Syndergaard left the game early with what he described as a “dead arm.”

In the bad news department, Yoenis Cespedes apparently has a heel condition that could require surgery and sideline him for up to ten months.
