The Mets offense continued to beat up on the Nationals pitching staff on Thursday, winning the game 8-2. Tomas Nido was the hero of yesterday’s game after hitting a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth that gave the Mets the lead, and a grand slam in the fifth that broke the game open.
