After taking two of three against the Diamondbacks, the Mets began a three-game series in Chicago against the White Sox last night. They capitalized on facing the worst team in baseball with a 5-1 win, led by a strong start from Tylor Megill (making his first start back from the minors) and a two-run home run from J.D. Martinez.
The Amazins are facing off against the team that has a chance of overtaking the 1962 Mets for the worst record in modern baseball history, but a lot of people associated with Mets history have mixed feelings about that possibility.
