Jacob deGrom made his second career All-Star game appearance and pitched just one inning. After retiring Mookie Betts and Jose Altuve. deGrom gave up a solo home run to the best player in baseball, Mike Trout. deGrom then bounced back, striking out JD Martinez to end the inning.
Though there are rumors the Mets may look to trade deGrom, his first choice is to stay in New York with the Mets.
Yoenis Cespedes began his rehab assignment on Tuesday, playing seven innings in left field and going 1-4.
