The Mets have yet to announce a starter for any of the games in Miami, partly because four of their best starting pitchers and quite a few more position players are on the injured list.
Pete Alonso may join that list of injured players with a wrist ailment, but the team will not announce their intentions with Alonso until later today.
It’s been an especially difficult start injury-wise for the Mets, and this point reaches number two on Justin Toscano’s top-ten list of wacky happenings so far this season.
