The Mets got their second half of the season started last night with the beginning of a four-game road series against the Miami Marlins. Alas, they looked more like the team that began the first half of the season instead of the team that ended it, as a poor Sean Manaea start and missed offensive opportunities (which overshadowed a two-homer night from Jeff McNeil) led to a 6-4 loss to their lowly division rivals.

Kodai Senga will make one more rehab start tonight, and then if all goes well he will be ready to join the major league rotation.
