After opening the season on the road, the Mets made their much-anticipated return to Citi Field yesterday afternoon, and they celebrated the occasion with a win over the Blue Jays. Pete Alonso greeted the fans with a first inning two-run homer which proved to be the only runs the Amazins would need, as Tylor Megill and the bullpen combined to shut out Toronto to secure a 5-0 victory.
