Mets first base prospect Dominic Smith has been named the Florida State League Player of the Year.
Smith, who has spent the entire season with High-A St. Lucie, is hitting .305/.354/.417 to go along with six home runs, 33 doubles, and 79 RBI in 118 games.
Smith, 20, is leading the league in both doubles and RBI, and is also among the league leaders in average, slugging, and OPS.
The Mets selected Smith 11th overall in the 2013 Amateur Draft.
Last season for Low-A Savannah, Smith hit .271/.344/.338 with one home run and 44 RBI in 126 games played.
